In celebration of International Women's Day on 8 March 2021, the UN Chamber Music Society of the United Nations Staff Recreation Council (UNCMS), will perform a concert - to pay special tribute to the women who have helped to shape classical music history, and whose voices have been marginalized and silenced. The music programme will feature musical works that represent an artistic tapestry of human experience, to provoke empathy and create a more compassionate world, in hopes of building bridges of cultural undersetasnding and gender equality. Founded in 2016, the UN Chamber Music Society is dedicated to promoting the United Nations’ goals and values at large - through the universal language of music.
