UN Chamber Music Society Concert for International Day of Remembrance and Tribute for Victims of Terrorism

On Friday, 21 August 2020, the UN Chamber Music Society of the United Nations Staff Recreation Council will perform during the third UN International Day for Remembrance of and Tribute to Victims of Terrorism.  The resolution of this International Day was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in December 2017.  This years’ commemoration revolves around the theme of “remembrance”, and will explore ways and challenges of honouring victims of terrorism, including during the pandemic. Whilst the Day cannot be held in person, it is an opportunity for victims to speak about remembrance, reminding the audience that remembrance is not only about bereavement, but also about acknowledging the experience of survivors.
